Roscoe’s Featured Friends of the Month: Pippin & Aristotle

back to blog

It’s a brand new year and that means a whole bunch of new Roscoe’s Featured Friends that we can’t wait to share with you! To kick things off, we have an adorable and lovable duo of dogs who just so happen to be brothers and the best of friends. Meet Pippin and Aristotle! Pippin, the older brother at six, has been a part of the Roscoe’s family since October of 2019 and is always a warm and gentle friend. Aristotle, his younger brother at three, has been with us since February of 2019 and never ceases to make us laugh. Both brothers can’t wait to share their story with you!

There was a time when Pippin was an only pup and never dreamed of sharing his house or family  with another canine. All that changed, however, when his parents announced that he was getting a little doggy brother and brought him along to meet Aristotle. His parents will never forget the nervous and priceless expression on Pippin’s face when he realized that it wasn’t a joke and this young, active, and bouncy new dog was coming home with them for good. That moment remains one his parent’s favorite memories to this day! Despite the initial shock and confusion, however, it didn’t take long for Aristotle to win over his new, big brother and become not only a family member, but Pippin’s best friend and loyal companion. Now, the two boys are inseparable!

In their free time, both brothers like to spend their days together doing what they love most: being dogs! They might have different personalities and quirks, but their passions remain the same. Both boys like to go for hikes through the Maine woods (Aristotle hopes to see a moose one day!), chase seagulls and waves on the beach, chew and tug on their many stuffed animals and tennis balls and, of course, wrestle and play with each other. Whatever one is doing you can be sure the other will soon follow! This is not to say, however, that the two brothers are identical. In fact, Pippin, who is sometimes called Big P by his parents, is known more for his gentle nature and compassion, while Aristotle, whom they call Mister Monster, is much more energetic and ready to get the party started. We guess opposites attract sometimes! One thing’s for sure, though: Aristotle and Pippin and two pups who always have each other’s backs!

Here at Roscoe’s, these two brothers are always ready to mingle and play, no matter the weather, time or day! Although Aristotle tends to be more playful than his big brother, both pups always have extra energy they’re looking to burn and seeing all their friends really puts a spring in their step. They love to meet and greet everyone! Aristotle, especially, loves the attention he gets from his human friends here and can often be found snuggling up for some head scratches and enticing everyone to play. Pippin is more fond of the cookies his human friends carry and likes to show off his tricks and skills in hopes of earning a taste. He’s also amazing with the puppy dog eyes! Both brothers are an adorable and lovable duo and we feel lucky that we get to spend each day with with. It’s been a joy watching them grow and learn together and we can’t wait to see what the future holds for these two amazing pups!

Testimonials

Pippin is all smiles at daycare!

“What a dynamic duo! Both unique in their own ways. Ari is so outgoing, always ready for fun and shenanigans. Pippin’s sweet and kind soul shines bright, ready for cuddles from his people. It’s like having the best of both worlds in a pair. I also love how Ari’s silly side makes Pippin more confident, and Pippin is always Ari’s #1 fan. To see both of them grow over the years in their own special and unique ways is something that I value, bringing so much joy to our lives.” -Katrina, Manager

““Aristotle and Pippin come in a pair and compliment each other nicely. With two different personalities, Aristotle’s goofy side and Pippin’s lovableness make them an absolutely perfect pair. They show so much love to each other, especially during the times they stay overnight, always snuggling with one another. You can never get too many snuggles from these love bugs!”” -Lindsey, Playgroup Supervisor

“I always look forward to Aristotle and Pippins visits! There’s just so much to love about this pair. Aristotle gives the best hugs, and Pippin has the most unique floppy ears! When they get dropped off I can’t help but laugh because Pippin waits so patiently, while Ari is just a wiggly joyful explosion! I also love all of Aristotles nicknames, like Ari, Aristreudel, and streudel noodle! Their personalities compliment each other so well, and it’s always a treat having their snuggly selves in group.” -Evan, Manager
